Metal Fabricator

Full Time

Griffin Automotive Design is seeking a full time skilled metal fabricator to join our staff of expert craftsman in the metal shop. Griffin Automotive is a high end shop performing full custom restoration and service work on a wide range of vehicle makes, models, and years. 

Job Duties including but not limited to: 

  • Automotive body panel replacement.

  • Ability to align panels, doors and fenders to achieve even gaps.

  • Ability to shape patch panels,

  • File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.

  • Fit and weld replacement parts into place.

  • Remove damaged sections of vehicles, and remove small pits and dimples in body metal.

  • Perform careful and organized disassembly of vehicles.

The most important requirements for this position are a passion for cars, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic. Must have your own transportation, must be dependable, must be able to work well with others, and must be drug free.

  • Must be willing to work Monday through Friday FULL TIME (Minimum of 40 hrs/week)

  • Valid Missouri Drivers License

  • 2+ years of experience automotive metal fabrication, welding, or extensive personal experience in the field.

  • Minimum Educational Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must own set of required tools

Collision Technician

Full Time

Griffin Automotive Design is seeking a full time skilled collision technician to join our staff of expert craftsman in the shop. Griffin Automotive is a high end shop performing full custom restoration and service work on a wide range of vehicle makes, models, and years. 

Job Duties including but not limited to: 

  • Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.

  • Check parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.

  • Prepares vehicles for body repair work.

  • Notifies management of any additional repairs needed. Documents and additional parts and labor required to perform a satisfactory repair.

  • Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.

  • Check parts against estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received.

  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.

  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.

  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
