About us
Griffin Automotive Design in Bonne Terre, Missouri has been a family-owned and operated auto repair shop since 2002. When we realized that we could provide our customers the best possible service by becoming a one-stop facility, we did just that. In 2018 we were blessed to welcome the opening of our new state of the art facility and changed our name to specialize more of what we will be doing.
Our facility features 54 working bays, a Hunter 18,000lb. flush mount alignment lift, Hunter fully automated tire changer, and Hunter Road Force Elite balancer. Our body shop boasts two Global Finishing Solutions downdraft drive thru paint booths including one oversized booth for those larger projects. We have two Chief frame straighteners with electronic measuring systems, Mittler Bros. bead rollers, and a cnc plasma table. This equipment allows us to turn out the quality repairs and restorations that our clients have come to expect from Griffin Automotive Design.

Scott
General Manager
Welcome to my corner of the automotive world! I’m Scott Griffin, a passionate car enthusiast with over 33 years of professional experience in building and restoring vehicles. My love for cars began in childhood, when I bought my first car at just 12 years old and started learning auto body repair at 13. Since then, my fascination with all things automotive has only grown.
I’m fortunate to work alongside my wife, Amy, and our daughter, Julia, in our family business. Together, we share a commitment to excellence and a love for the craft that drives us forward.
Outside of work, I enjoy cycling and mountain biking with Amy, exploring new trails and enjoying the great outdoors. While I have a deep appreciation for all types of cars and trucks, my heart belongs to my 1962 Buick LeSabre Hardtop—a classic that embodies the spirit of my automotive journey.

Amy
Accounting Manager
Amy is an Accounting Manager who graduated from Mineral Area College in 2003 with a degree in computer networking. Shortly after, she joined the family business alongside Scott. Outside of her professional life, Amy is married with two children and two dogs. She has a passion for running, having completed nine marathons, two ultra-marathons, and 33 half marathons. Additionally, she holds a second-degree black belt, showcasing her dedication to both fitness and discipline. She has many dream cars, but one would be a G-Wagon.
Julia
Collision Estimator
With 6 years of experience as a Collision Estimator, Julia Weinhold brings expertise and a passion for detail to every project. Outside of work, Julia enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs. She's also expecting her first child, due in March. In her free time, she loves quilting, creating stained glass projects, and gardening. Julia’s favorite vehicle is a 1984 Chevrolet K10, a classic square body truck that holds a special place in her heart. Manager

As the Body Shop Manager with 32 years of experience in the automotive industry, Brian Thomson brings a wealth of knowledge in body shop operations and custom car stereo installations. His expertise in both repair and customization ensures that every project meets the highest standards of quality.
A proud Eagle Scout, Brian exemplifies leadership and dedication, values he continues to uphold as a leader in the Knights of Columbus.
Brian has a deep passion for cars, particularly his favorite— the 1979 Bronco, which he owned during his youth. This classic vehicle holds a special place in his heart, filled with cherished memories.

Service Project Manager
With 15 years of experience in the automotive field, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project. My passion for cars was ignited by my grandpa, who introduced me to the world of vehicles and car shows. This early exposure has shaped my career and increased my appreciation for the automotive world.
As a Service Manager, Project Manager, and Estimator, I thrive on turning challenges into solutions, ensuring that every project runs smoothly from start to finish. I take pride in delivering exceptional service and creating strong relationships with clients and team members alike.
When I’m not at work, you can find me working around the house, attendeding car/truck shows, and planning my own next project. I look forward to bringing my expertise and passion to your next project!
